i like to talk to people on the phone, but i like them to be to the point and quick. No pussy-footing around.

but you could sit on the phone with a chick just sighing everyonce in a while and saying 'i love you' for hours and they wouldnt get bored of the conversation

and girls have the tendancy to right as your about to let them go, to bring up something that you have to talk about, right as youre about to say "ok ill talk to ya tomorrow" the ladies always seem to bring up something that would make you seem like an ass to just let them go for...you evil women do it on purpose!

and why do you ladies always have the tendancy to try and get us guys to say things you dont want to hear?

like for example, say you wanna go out and your girl is pouty cuz your not chillin with her, youre on the phone with her and shell say in a snotty tone "well, youre probably just gonna go get high and drink, right?" --

well yeah i am, why do you have to make a point of it? why bring it up?


also, girls when they are mad at you, they always try and "lead" you with questions like a legal prosecutor by adding a "right?" at the end of rants and questions.....like they want you to confirm what they are saying.....they could have the complete wrong idea of whats going on and still try and be mad at you for whatever it is....

and one thing that makes me laugh and i think is hilarious about these ladies is a girl will be totally wiggin out and overthinking shit and always be stressing about something and to a guy its like wtf? im not worried about anything, whats your problem? everythings cool on my end! Girls just think way to much all the time and us guys are all laid back and dont even dream up half the shit you girls think of.....thats the difference between men and women. Thats why we need the ladies. In a different context we need them in our daily lives because we dont think deep enough about some of the shit we should LOL.

Anyways to answer your question about the whole chick/phone thing Im not sure why I always wanted to be on the phone, what a waste of time to me now though. I might talk on the phone for 1/2 hour a day and thats usually between 4 or 5 friends.

I am so guilty of the marathon phone convo thing... I dunno why, really... I think we just like hearing your voice and having your attention... we're "creatures of communication"... we live to talk to you, especially if we don't get to see you often. Its funny though... I hate staying on the phone with my mom/girlfriends any longer than I have to for me to relay whatever info I called to say, but I can stay on the phone with my man for hours... but some guys aren't "phone people" and I get that, it's just cool when you find someone that likes to talk it up as much as you do... I have a male friend who I absolutely love talking to... we shoot the shit for hours on end... we built a really intimate relationship that way because we disclose so much personal info to one another, he probably knows more about me and is a closer friend to me than any other guy I know.

I can admit to over-analyzing things... a lot! but I think its mostly because guys have a hard time opening up and being honest about how they feel about things... or at least we think they do... so then we have to come to our own conclusions... and... well... it usually ain't pretty... our minds start taking us on these "what-if" journeys as to why you did/said what you did/said and we start believing our own little twisted theories... we're not mind readers, you have to be straight up and open so shit doesn't get twisted or misinterpreted.

^^thing is we dont open up cuz as far as were concerned there is no need to open up. Everything is cool. Were like this is a nice place, and then BAM the girly starts asking too many questions and worrying and getting upset, when we are like "wtf? how did shit go from good to bad so quickly?" lol

thats the thing, you guys start worrying and there is nothing to worry about but you find something. By way of those questions i talked about where you ask questions and try to get us to answer in ways that will confirm what your worried about. You ask trick questions and stuff to lead us in the direction you dont want us to go.

From my experience and observations, women do need you to open up... we need to know where we stand... you might know how you feel, but we don't... thats why we ask a million questions, we're trying to piece it all together. Sometimes guys avoid having those serious "relationship" talks and that just makes us question you and your motives even more... I've only met one guy who was voluntarily open to talk about things w/out me having to question or dig (only one that I believed was sincere, that is).

I understand that the leading questions can be a serious pain in the ass... I do that, too... I hadn't actually really realized that I do it until I read this post (thanks for the heads up... lol). I think we're just conditioned to expect the worse from men in a lot of ways ("don't expect him to be faithful... he's only a man"... hell, you guys even say that yourself) so we kind of hope for the best but prepare ourselves for the worst... seems like a combination of insecurity and bad experiences.

My dude calls me "The Queen of Putting People on the Spot"... I don't know how to work my way into conversations subtly... we could be mid-discussion talking about something and then I'll blurt out a question totally unrelated and expect an answer right then and there... bad habit I guess, but I thought men liked it when we cut straight to the chase..?

So you don't feel like you need to open up because you're comfortable and you feel like things are cool... but she doesn't... it seems like we're damned if we just jump to our own conclusions/assumptions and we're also damned if we ask too many questions... so where is the middle ground..?
