1) What are your thoughts on anal sex? Do you think it's just part of sex, like oral & vaginal? Is it even sex? Is it akin to oral sex in a way that it's just something kinky to do, but not quite sex? Why do you think it's so taboo (besides it's association to gay men)? If you've done it, why did you do it? If you haven't, why would you consider or discount it?

2) We discussed a story in my Human Sexuality class about a virgin who would have anal sex, but still proclaim her V-status because she hadn't done it vaginally. The class was pretty split on if she was a virgin or not. Thoughts?

Gonna address the second question first. I think it's half and half really. You're a virgin until your "cherry" is popped IMO. Which would mean you'd have to have vaginal sex. So I'd say yes, still a virgin. But kinda tossed between yes and no...if that makes any sense LOL.

Now first question. I'm not one for anal sex. I've tried it. More then once. But it's just not my thing. I just can't get into it. Something that hurts more then it is pleasurable....not for me.

1) I think it's normal... I guess... not very appealing or attractive for me, though. I think it's gross and I don't ever plan on trying it... it sounds painful. I guess kinky is a word you can use to describe it... I'm more inclined to stick to "gross", however.

2) she's technically still a virgin... but by no means "pure" or any of that other stuff "virginity" connotes.

Honestly.. I think vaginal is way more meaningful than anal.. anal is akin to oral IMO. They're both these nasty/kinky little things you do to get ur freak on, but neither is that big a deal. The concept of sex itself is amazing to me.. it's almsot sacred.. that's how we create life. What's bigger than that between two people? I never understood when ppl say "I'll save that (anal) for my husband/wife." But they'll sleep with anyone.. it's boggles my mind.

1) Anal sex is another way for a couple to have sex. I think it is sex and it is just part of sex I don't see how it would be considered anything but that. I think sex in general in America is a taboo subject.. Infact anything but missionary is taboo when it comes to sex talk. Which is quite ironic because the practice of anal sex dates back hundreds if not thousands of years so its not just something that the kinky sickos invented in the past thirty years.. people have just been afraid to talk about it. I have had anal sex.. Why? Because my partner & I wanted to try it.

2) According to the dictionary..."A person who has not experienced sexual intercourse. " Thats the definition of virgin.. So it depends on if you consider anal sex to be sexual intercourse. Seeing as how I do consider it sexual intercourse I would say that she isn't a virgin. No where in the many definitions that they give do they mention it having to be vaginal intercourse. Its just a way for girls to have sex but play like they are pure and innocent which is bull.

^^ yeah i think its just kinky. i def dont think of it as intimate or anything. And i do agree with her being a virgin.

But ive done it twice,, and i didnt enjoy it or not enjoy it. it was just like ehh whatever. My current boyfriend now wants to do it, but it hurts SO much now if he tries to put it in, so i wont let him.
