Ladies, you ever wish you and a guy would fall down...
and kiss each other like they do in the movies and on tv? No matter how cliche that circumstance is, I still get moved like an emo herb whenever I see those scenes. My punk ass even tried to re-enact one in real life, but we ended only bumpin' heads and she called me a "stupid klutz."

Forgive me for this post... but I just got off of a daydream trip, but I have no shame... so answer, and ridicule if you must, anyway

OH.. MY... Lord... EVERYTIME I see the Notebook I cry like a frickin baby... not those silent movie tears, like a heaving crying lol.

I also cry every time I watch The Notebook. Even tho I know what happens. I just can't help it. That shit gets me everytime!!!! I love the story, just love it. That's what "True" love is :o)

Even Husband fights back the tears when we watch the Notebook LOL

Oh ThisMiss, you would have loved the way Husband proposed to me...We were laying in bed ready to roll over and go to sleep and he says: "We've been together a long time and all. And you said it was ok. So here." He handed me the ring, in the dark and I said "Thats it?" and he said "Oh yeah, you wanna get married?" and I called him an ass and told him he got the wrong diamond LOL...ahhhh, romantic LOL

I've given up on romace Ignorant. Husband just doesn't have it in him and I have given up trying. I am sure its just as much my fault. I don't exactly push the romance thing.

Speaking of rings. I remember my friends husband purposed the exact same way Sweet lmao. And she was pissed cuz he got the wrong ring. She didn't like it. But didn't say anything--still wearing it.

I always wondered what the big fuss was about having the perfect ring? Mines a cheap ring, nothing special. I mean I picked it out (made sure to get the cheapest haha) and I like it. I just couldn't see spending a ton on a wedding ring. It's not most important, your actual marriage is! ;o)

My husbands co-worker just bought his gf a ring. He paid over 10k for it :/ Which is a shame. Cuz I just don't think she's right for him. She's always out partying and rubbin up on guys and shit. Sigh. He's such a nice guy. It's crazy. Ah well, to each their own right? Best of luck to em! ;o)

But yeah, my point was I wasn't fussy on my ring LOL Where I find a lot of ppl are. Even my mom. Damn she has insurance on her ring haha. That's just insane!

See, this is why I wanna come to Canada and kidnap you... j/k, but the ring means absolutely nothing. It's a showpiece for the world to let everyone know you're married. It doesn't mean love or committment or anything like that... your actions should demonstrate that. I have never once believed that love can be contained in a material object.

That's what I'm saying. The ring should be hte last thing you worry about. I believe spending a ton on your wedding is the same. I mean, yeah it's nice to have it be NICE and all that. But why spend your life savings on it? You have the rest of your life to spend with that person, use the money for something more. Our wedding was sooooo cheap. Mind you I was only 18 lol. But it was "perfect" to me. I didn't want all the glamour I see these days.

I told my husband I wanted a new ring for our 10th anniversary, but I want one that's even cheaper ha ha. I just like the look of it, and he told me that it's insanely cheap and he refuses and because it's not "real" diamonds. WTF? I don't need diamonds. Never really been a diamond girl anyway. I just REALLY like the look of this ring! The price tag means nothing ;o)

I should have explaned LOL
My issue was that it was too big. He got me a 3 carot diamond. I sent him to all sorts of websites with these beautiful rings, some of them not the traditional rock type ring but most of them under $1000. I picked out the ones I liked, stayed on the cheap side and he went and got me big burtha. He said the rings I picked out weren't engagement rings.

At first I hated it, felt very self conscious of it. Also the setting made it sit up too high so it looked HUGE. After I got a new setting tho, and now that I've been living with it for a little while, I have no complaints.

I blame this whole obssession on rings and extravagant weddings on that queen who started it all with the white dress and everything.

If I were a woman, I'd be afraid to walk around with such a huge ring... especially on the streets of NYC... some cats will rob you off of principle.
