drugs and alcoholics in a relationships
How would you deal with your S/O if he or she became hooked on drugs or alcohol in your relationship?

Would you stay with'em after you have done all that you could do for them? Or would you leave them and start a new life with somebody else?

What if they got their self together after the fact you did leave them would you go back to them? Or would you tell them how proud of them you are?

Would you be afriad things may go back to the way they was once you go back to them?

I could not deal with a drug or alcohol addiction in my relationship. I would split.

Even something as simple as weed. I like to smoke a joint from time to time, don't get me wrong...but I have a friend who has a husband who thinks he has to be stoned 18 hours out of the day and weed along wrecks havoc on their relationship.

Any drug addiction I feel takes it's toll on a relationship.

I used to be a cig smoker. Even that took it's toll. I felt that conflict....me smoking...him worrying about how much I smoked...the financial impact.

If cigs did that....then just imagine other drugs.


I would stick through it with somebody though, if they were serious about quitting. I suppose worrying they would go back to it would always be in your minds....but you stick with people until they prove otherwise.

lol Nobody needs weed everyday haha. I know peeps that come to work twisted and go to lunch get more weed then go home and smoke lol. That is crazy as hell lol

As much as I love her i would be out the door after i help you get off of drugs and you get back on them you are on your own.

he's doing better now, he been to therapy and all that. Of course i am staying with him. He's not only my man, but also my best friend and i cant just leave him alone with all his problems.

But yeah, I wouldn't stand for a drug or alcohol addicted partner. Not at all. I'm so anti drug as it is, I don't think I could live with someone that let it rule their life or depended on it. I MIGHT be able to handle a once a month or every few months thing. But not any more than that. It's just not something I myself would want to live or deal with. Same goes for drinking. I'm not a big drinker myself. I go out MAYBE every few months. Last time I went out, shit, it was ummm, I can't even remember! Oh wait, it was Halloween LOL and I didn't even get that drunk! So yeah, I couldn't have someone that let either of these take over their life.
