New Religion

Now, I'm going to offer you a New Religion on RM. This is not a TRUE Religion. I do NOT believe this in the least. I want you to disprove THIS religion for me. My goal by posting this is to get you THINK. If you present an argument against it, I will play devil's advocate (as though I am the prophet of this "sci-fi" religion) and defend it.

Here is the New Religion:

All religions are Alien worship. The "Angels" are what we refer to today as Extra-terrestrials. In reality, God does not exist. There is a force which is behind all that does exist, but it is not God. The concept of God or Elohim is a mis-perception of alien contact with human beings (who were created by the extra-terrestrial Elohim).

Genesis 1:26
"Let US make man in OUR image under OUR likeness."

Here we witness ONE being speaking to other beings using a singular plural.

Let's get it goin. No arguments because this is not a REAL belief. No personal attacks of ANY type. If you commit this fallacy then you automatically admit defeat and must stop posting in this thread.

Let's try to challenge each other mentally instead of resorting to personal attacks.

oh such thoughts arent as ridiculous as they seem..it could very well be true. who knows? but the thing is, if the aliens created us, who created the aliens. either way, its an amlighty ever existing force behind everything in the universe. that force just is and always has been, and it designed everything in it. thats god. even if we are a side project of some aliens..that doesnt change anything but some clerics dogmatic perceptions of the world.

Unbroken - What makes you think that? How do you know that there aren't infinite universal dimensions throughout the eons and that there was never a beginning or an end to any of it?

i dont know anything..i just suggested that the universe has no beginning or end, like a circle has none. everythign seems to be shaped in a circle in this universe..the stars, the planets, the atoms, ..sun rise, everything appears to be periodically..when you walk the earth long enough at one point u will return to where ustarted..the universe could very well be shaped the same..who knows?

The Universe IS in a circular shape and moves in a rotation of its own. But the Universe belongs to something much larger than itself. Much larger than man would be able to comprehend.

Read the article. I can't believe scientists are claiming the universe is flat. What a stupid fuckin idea. It isn't possible. I'm not even going to go into depth to explain why it isn't possible. The idea is too dumb to even entertain serious arguments. I'll just say this:

The word "flat" cannot be applied to the universe. Flat applies to surfaces. The universe is not a surface of something sitting on top of something else. There is depth to the universe. All galaxies are not lined up on the same wave. That alone tells you that the fuckin universe (observed and unobserved aspects) cannot possibly be flat.

The difference between the earth's circular shape and the universe's circular shape is that with the earth (and other planets), we are on the "surface" . . . with the Universe we are "within it" and so everything appears to be straight.

Draw a large circle the size of your house outside and step inside of it. No matter where another person stands (inside of that circle) the two of you will be in a straight shot from one another. Only if you are both on the outside of that circle and unable to cross the line will it cease to be a straight line.

It was women who develop the greater bonds to the humans they house and birth during gestation. It is natural to see them cry the most over the loss of said creations, therefore, inspiring ceremonial burial and ancestor worship.

"Alien" entities was invented after one of two conditions.

1 - populations hit a larger number

2 - generations has the ability to retain ancestor history for a specific amount of generations

Yes, even religion evolves. In fact, out of all institution in history, religions adapt and evolve the fastest.

the questions surrounding creation is not the most immediate, it is who/what/how/where created our creator, whatever the acceptance of "our creator"?

Historically, religion was not divided from the head of state. Head of state has traditionally been a man.

Women perhaps have a greater level of participation because of the expectation to conform.
