I thought it was a good idea, there is a problem within the UK for gun crime and it's bigger than anyone would like it to be. The point of the forum was to get an open opinion from a whole variation of people; artists, DJs, record company execs, teens, parents of killed teens 'n' the police. It was an open forum, just like this one, for people to state their opinions on the matter 'n' take the blame away from music, video games etc 'n' shift it towards society, peers, drugs ... the sort of things it should be blamed on.
The thing that pissed me off more than anything was how narrow-minded some of the parents where ... Ms Dynamite got blown out bare times for her opinion when it was right what she was saying.
The clips you saw were campaigns, it would have been stupid not to include them considering their aim is to put the problems we have here in the light. Have you seen the Don't Get Blood On Your Hands one?

I followed the forum with interest, video games being blamed when someone's 14 year old son was playing GTA:SA (Certified - 18+ 'n' all) and ended up picking up a gun. The same within music, the age restrictions are in place for a reason, although I can never remember wanting to pick up a gun if I heard a N.W.A tune or whatever.
That's my two pennies on it anyway ... but I certainly don't see how it provoked more gun crime. To say they show the videos they're worried about is wrong, when did MTV say Hip Hop was the blame for it?!? Like one the guests said, I can watch a spaghetti western movie 'n' see hundreds of Indians die by the gun, yet I watch a music video 'n' that ends up taking more responsibility.
