I am British, but Northern... These terms have developed from the mass mixture of cultures in the south of England, from the surge of Migrants since the 70's, mainly surrounding the London area. Most Americans will only ever Hip-Hop and/or Grime scene emcees from southern England, hence alot of the "Bruv" "Innit" and what not is heard.
All places in the world have their slang, or regularly used terms, its just a shame Brits have opted for such ones that destroy the Queens English.
Personally i am not a fan of the way Londonders have developed, it is after all the capital of our country and the youth are picking up such terrible speech habbits. Accents are still present that are "proper" but most youths i hear from south are destroying the Language.
