Threads were made about A$ap where it was discussed....don't think there was a thread solely about it.....that being said, it's not normally my cup of tea but I quite enjoyed the album.

I wasn't really impressed for a couple reasons.
The fact that it leaked so early really dulled the hype he had buzzin. It was like the cat was let out of the bag before it shoulda been. And it still could've been great if the product would've proceeded LoveLiveAsap but it didn't. That mixtape was the sheeeeit and the albums dope but it doesn't hold a torch to the production on that mixtape IMO

Someone put me on Rocky's best shit. Besides Goldie and Peso I haven't heard much.
Rap is so over-saturated nowadays; too much crap to sift through.

I'd say his best are Peso, Brand New Guy, Palace, Suddenly, PMW, Long Live Asap..if none of those songs make you interested then nothing will

He's better with a faster flow like on PMW (Which by the title I expected not to like but dug it the most from the three videos you posted)
Personally, I think he's average...he hasn't done much IMO to really make me wanna go check out his album...I peeped the Long Live A$ap video before and didn't care for it.
Personally I'll just wait to see what he puts out on the radio. He's nice on Problems
I just think he's a guy where I can probably only really dig a few of his tracks...and since the majority of the songs of his I've heard have a slow flow (which I personally dislike a ton) I know I'm not gonna like a lot of his stuff....a quicker flow fits him better and those are the songs I dig of his
He ain't bad though...very tolerable, lol

A$AP is top 5 in the game currently... he's far from average.
He brings style AND lyricism to mainstream hip hop... when for most artists, it's usually one or the other.
He reminds me of Biggie, in a way... not in the way he raps, but in his presentation... how he's able to balance charm with grime.
That's ingenious... and you can tell he studied the greats before him.

lol I can understand that. He's not the best lyricist or deepest artist but he has more style than most rappers do..he knows how to twist his words to make them sound better and he switches his flow up a lot. He created a whole new sound in hip hop with the slow, trippy, down tempo slightly trill beats..with a bone thugs/southern flow..idk he just stands out a lot to me I guess. lol to each their own though, sorry for the rant I'm a tad blazed at the moment

Idk about top 5 but definitely top 10..I'd give him a little more time lol
but I agree man. He ain't the best lyricist but he's far from average..but that's a great comparison, I'd have to agree with that too..and you can tell by how ingeniously and easily he combines Houston and New York styles together
