Dude did a couple things no one was ever expecting, ever.......1st here was a white dude who had the entire world of odds against him because of the vanilla ice thing and such....2nd he found the most brilliant formula for a person of his background which most rap fans related to both black and white......3rd he found a formula for singles success on album 1-4, which appeased the masses then he brought rhyming to the pop scene, causing many other rappers to step up their flow game a bit......
Dude ruined white rappers chances as much or more than vanilla, but for a better reason.......he is great

I don't understand this "in his prime" shit. Anytime other than when he was making Relapse would be "in his prime". The shit he's doing with Slaughterhouse and Royce is ridiculous.
Anyway, the man has uncanny control over the english language...he HAS to be top 5, very few have reached his level of lyricism/flow while being so accessible to the public.

prime is a term that should be properly used or not used at all......phaze, roll, focus, right mix of fame and drugs, and other things would be applicable.....prime is an athletic thing groove or zone is music oriented
