Happy 40th Birthday Eminem
cant believe the dude that rapped on My Name Is, is now 40 years old.
simple thread...
answer these 3 questions
1. How old were you when u heard your first Eminem song (and which song it was)
2. Is Eminem on your all time top 10?
3. should Eminem Retire?
1. 12- my name Is
2. Yes, #4
3. Hell yes. Hes done making quality music. he does some dope freestyles every now and then but dude needs to quit.

1. If you tell me which year "Loose Yourself" was being played on MTV I could tell you how old I was... but that was the only song at the moment though. After hearing that song and watching the video I didn't heard Eminem again until I was like 16/17 and starting listening to hip hop more heavily.
2. I don't have a Top 10. That's dumb.
3. Why? He is amongst the biggest selling rappers right now, probaly the biggest. I think his Stans could buy one more shitload album and give him a couple millions more.
I seriously don't think he could go back to the old days, non of them (He had more than one style that were utmost dope). But maybe... HUGE MAYBE and a big I HOPE he could find a new style where he can take his wordsmith, lyric ability and storytelling and make a return.

i guess... dude will definitely sell. i doubt he needs the money though... hes the best selling rapper of all time.
ive given up hope of him finding a new style that works. that 4 year hiatus killed him.

1. 10-11 My Name Is
2. I thought his first 3 albums (and everything in between) were enough to cement him in top 10 status forever. But the stuff he has been putting out is so bad that I just don't know. I never thought I could go from loving every single song an artist makes to hating every single song like this
3. Years ago. But if he is making money why stop? He has a new following now, why would he care what people like me think?

first Em song i ever heard was "My Name Is" and i was 17 at the time.
no, he's not in my top 10 but i can respect somebody who has him in their top 10.
i see no reason for him to retire. he still has ammo and proved it on the newest Slaughterhouse album as well as the duo album with Royce.

2. No
3. No, but I wouldn't care if he did retire, he wouldn't be a huge loss to Hip-Hop at this point

1. My Name Is, 15 or 16.
B. SSLP Em is on my top 5.
III. No, although haven't been a fan of his recent work, more taste I guess. Seems to be against the grain yelling his lyrics.

12, My Name Is.
Yes, top 3.
No, he murdered Relapse, Recovery was nice, but since then he's been Lil Wayne. I'm sure he can and will go back to being him next time.
