most battle rappers aren't song makers with a lot of vision beyond the technical aspect and line aspect......this is why most battle rappers are just attle rappers, and that is how tey got into rapping......it used to be different, when dudes like slug sage rhymefest biggie juice em etc... were doing it as a way to promote themselves so their music would be listened to hopefully......accapella is great for battles, but awful for people who started rapping because oof them.......a beat changes everything, and many cannot rap over a beat well.......when they can, they still focus on multi's and punches a lot.....bottom line music is a different talent, and anyone can be clever, but not may can write and perform songs very well.......
also there are many who just attle, and don't make music.....as well as the majority who spend time trying to make music and it sucks cause they started attling first.......dueds like ness are rappers turned battlers and ness is a great rapper........but he doesn't run song making he is just a great rapper who has a chance at success.......the saurus is amazing, he is a legend but he is not a great artist though he is not bad either.....illmac is a hybrid and is great at both.........
The industry hates music from battle rappers and assumes its garbage before hearing it.........they are not too wrong in a lot of cases
