Beans is a fuck-up, plain and simple. It's not Jay's responsibility to carry someone who doesn't share the same vision, the same sense of responsibilty as him. Friends grow apart as they get older, it's life! A lot of you young guys probably won't realize this for another 7-10 years, but it will happen to you. I have cats I've been friends with for years, that I decided to go to law school, start a career, elevate myself, my girl, my family, and they are on the same hood drug-dealing bullshit. What do we have in common? Memories.
Siegel never matured, he never grew up. He wants to brag about taking bullets, dissing people, and killing for a record label, you can tell he is a low-life. Jay has become a marvel of modern-day American success stories, Beans was never built for that.

I'm a Thriller

Listened to this track again....it's tight. Sigel convinced me ....Jay-z shoulda let him out of his contract...Jigga's rich enough already, and Beanie's supposed to be his brother ....why would you hold him under your foot?

Plus, in Lost Ones Jay-z said:
"So we parted ways like Ben and JLo
I shoulda bin did it but I been in a daze though
I put friends over business end of the day though
But when friends...business interests as they go...ain't nothin left to say though
I guess we forgot what we cam fo"
So Jay had a business disagreement with Dame where he felt he was disrespected as a friend...and Jay realized that he had to put business before friends....
So when it came to his disagreement with Beanie, he put business first.

Not just any rapper can start a clothing line....you have to have credibility among the urban youth for them to wanna wear your shit ... and Beanie earned that on his own, regardless if only 800,000 ppl bought his album ...
Beanie is SUPPOSED to be your boy ... let him out of his contract so he can go and make as much money as he wants .....Jay-z is already worth 100 million plus, and he's married to a multi-millionaire .... why the fuck does he need to hold Beanie to his bullshit contract? So Sigel can make him another 100 grand to add to his 100 million?
Jay-z is a boss, yes ...but he's also a greedy, cold-hearted business man .....

Jay-z's a hippocrite.....he gets mad at Dame when he says, "I made Hov" ....but then turns around and says to himself "I made Beanie" .....as if anybody can have a successful clothing line.......

How is this hypocritical at all? Jay did make Beanie. Do you honestly think Jay would have remained underground were it not for Dash? Dame's post-Rocafella business career shows how unsuccessful he is going on his own. Beanie Sigel would have struggled to get a deal without Jay, and he would have likely been far less successful on another label.

^ Dame was the one who put Jay on, everyone knows that every label Jay went to wasn't feeling him. He got turned down at every door til Dame got him the deal at Def Jam, Jay would be another Super Nat freestyling and spitting his rapidfire ryhmes at coffee shops and hood stores if Dame wasn't in the picture. Jay aint know anything about the music biz til Dame put Jay on game.

One element though is the way beans is going about it.
He wants to sign with 50.
So basically he wants to take all the money Jay (dame and biggs) invested in him, diss Jay and then parlay that buzz into MAKING MONEY FOR 50.
He might get a slightly better contract but he could probably negotiate that with Jay. Instead he will probably get a crumb more from 50 but 50 will just be his new boss instead of Jay.
Why should Jigga just let him do that?

Good point.
What gets me is, I remember back when Beanie was about to get locked up, and Dame came to the courtroom all the time and Jay didn't. Beanie then made the decision to go with Dame's label, did a bunch of interviews saying how he and Jay aren't really close at all and it's all business with Jay, and then decided to go back to Rocafella at the last minute anyway. Who's using who here? Beans needs to get the fuck out of here with any notion that he's surprised or hurt that Jay is like this, he knew full well he was like that, and made the decision to stick around because he was down with Rocafella for the money and not for the love. Everyone's acting like Beanie and Jay were the best friends in the world when Beanie already admitted that wasn't true years ago.
As for G-Unit, Mobb Deep were 10x as well-known as Beanie Sigel is now, and they flopped hard on G-Unit. M.O.P. left without releasing an album. Do you think it's going to be any different with Beans? 50 is doing this as a jab at Jay, nothing more, nothing less. And then 50 talks about how his business ethic is different because he looks after his people. He's purposely misleading people with a statement like that. He does look after the original members of G-Unit, the same way Jay has held up Bleek for over a decade. What happens to G-Unit members who didn't grow up with 50 and co.? M.O.P...dropped. Game...dropped. Young Buck...dropped. Olivia...dropped. Lets be real here.
