i been liftin 6 months and i decided i think i deserve a week off, from lifting at least, cuz i barely get sore anymore and i been feeling unmotivated

so yea this is my first week off in 6 months

yall think breaks are good or not

Yeah breaks are good, you may start to get careless after a week though. How about doing at least one day of lifting in that week? Just go to failure on everything one day, blast uour body hard and then it's got some time to recooperate.

yea i dont like it. on both of the days that i usually go i still went and did like a half hour of cardio, but yea, its my first week off, i think it good every once in awhile. i dont plan on it bein a normal thing tho of course.

You should change up your work out.

If you've been doing the same routine for the past six months and just add more weight you might have platued.

Maybe rotate out some of your excercises and substitute similar ones that challenges the muscles differently, hit them at different angles, or at the least change it up the order you do them in after your one week respite.

hell yea, that was the main problem, is i wasnt havin one of those workouts at all for awhile. everytime i would feel tired and not wanting to work out makin me just get tired faster, so i would never feel punished the next day except for a few times. im lookin forward to gettin back friday lol i know what ur talkin bout liftin the whole gym

I've been to the gym twice since my 1 week break, and I've already moved up a notch on every machine.

Next time I go I'll be able to bench my weight.

I think the break did me well, I'ma take one now whenever I start to plateau

People don't take enough.

You should only lift each muscle twice a week.

I don't care what anyone says.

I used to do full body Mon. Wed. and Fri.

Than I got fatigued so now I only do it on Mon. and Thursday or Friday

And my weight keeps going up and I got energy for those 2 days to crush hard.
