Closest thing I've ever taken to a fat burner was called San Attitude.
I guess what it did was stop the conversion of testosterone to estrogen in the body, which does equate to fat loss, as well as muscle gain.
Shit worked amazing, but costs $50 for 30 days worth back then, may be cheaper now.
So long as you work out consistently, anything that preserves muscle will also equal fat loss.
Glutamine is my recommendation for that, preserves muscle (also lowers blood sugar which preserves muscle too) and you get like over 90 days worth of servings for like $15 at Vitacost.com.
Also things that detoxify the body will help you with fat loss- my suggestion there is N-acetyl Cystein.
Those are 2 things that will help out a ton, less expensive than thermogenic pills, probably equaling out to $7-8 a month.
