I bought a scale
It measures a lot of stuff and there's one thing I haven't figured out.

It gives weight
body fat % (F)
Body mass index (BMI)
body water/hydration level% (W)
daily calorie intake requirement to maintain weight (kCal)


What does "M" stand for? It's a percentage.

I was thinking muscle percentage, but I've never heard of a scale measuring this before and it isn't explained on the box what these things stand for.
It didn't come with instructions.

Do you know how a scale gets a bodyfat reading? lol.

I wouldn't count on an accurate reading. they got you with all that other extraneous bullshit... it's unless. the only thing it's good for is seeing much you weigh, hopefully.

the scale sends a signal through the fat and muscle in the body, it's called bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) technology. can't use it if you're on a pacemaker.

it claims to be accurate to the 0.1% in both body fat and body water levels.
i'm sure that's exaggerated, but I do think it will at least be accurate enough for me.


the BMI reading is exact, but all you need to get that is height and weight.
