for practical strength. Not only that but it develops balance as well as control over one's body. I was reading on another forum I post on. Karate kids were talking with each other on routines and one said something that made it click. You learn to control your body, not your body plus whatever weight. You develop balance and symmetry because your body will eventually even out. It allows you more room to focus on the contractions as well.

I'm starting to think that this is an element everybody should incorporate into their routines. Athletes, bodybuilders, or anybody.

Pull-ups don't work the triceps.

He probably meant muscle ups which is pretty much a pull up and dip all in one.

Those are hard to do though.

and bodyweight exercises are definately good but I wouldn't say superior.

If you take two people of the same skill, talent, speed, agility, reach, height, weight, balance etc. but one lift weights and other doesn't. I ganrantee you the one who doesn't will get FUCKING BODIED nine times out of ten.
