Its for the ps3. Its basically a hard ass rpg where you have to use real tactics to survive and collect demon souls to upgrade your skill points as well as to make weapons.

Your description makes me think of that game as a similar one.

I think it came out in 2009. Its in a third person perspective. I havent really played skyrim so I cant give you a full comparison.

It came out on PS3 in 2010
I think I read that various people who worked on Skyrim also worked on this, it sure feels like it. I liked Skyrim but found it a bit slow, this is like Skyrim in some ways but quicker.
you wouldn't call it a classic RPG type game imo - but if you like RPG's I doubt you wouldn't like this.
It also has several bad bugs/glitches (also like Skyrim lol)

I was going to say SOLD until I came upon this little sentence.
What are the bugs? Skyrim I guess glitched from time to time?
But that happened maybe 3 times in HOURS of play in my experience.

it wasn't as bad as Skyrim but there were a couple, none of them affected the main game (so far as I remember) but just side quests from being completed.
I found out about the bugs via google so you could do that. Its def worth the $

Great game but i never got around to beating it, games like that I end up not finishing cause it's a lot of trial and error. I heard Dark souls was even better
