Call of duty 4 Multiplayer Beta....
Ive been playing the beta for about a week now....

I have to say its pretty much the BEST call of duty multiplayer wise.....I tried to go back and play rainbow six vegas today and I just couldnt.....it felt so primitive compared to COD4....

The kill cam is back...

Theres a new class modification system that allows you to customize your character's equipment and have up to 5 classes premade for certain situations...
Then theres special perks which you setup for each custom class you create....some of them allow you to have more stopping power...better aim from the hip...special 'nades...etc.

One of the most unique perks is last stand , which lets you shoot from the ground with your pistol after you've been downed by an opponent so you can possibly kill the guy who killed you before finally dying or taking out a couple enemy with you....

Theres kill streaks now....which basicallly give you special abilities after you get a kill streak....

3 kills gets you a UAV which gives enemy position for 30 seconds for your whole team...

5 kills gets you an air strike which you can pinpoint to any area on the map....

7 kills gets you a helicopter which travels across the map shooting any enemy through windows and whoever is foolish enough to stay out in the open....and you get all the kills...

Damage is pretty damn good...i like that you can put someone down very quickly....people actually go down quicker in this game then rainbow six vegas...so some people might get intimidated by that...but i like it....i would find myself shooting at someone in RB6 with my crosshair all over them and they would never go down....in COD4 all you need is 1 bullet to hit the target in the right place and its a wrap


IMO the most IMPORTANT change from this call of duty and pretty much ANY FPS......is the fact that bullets penetrate walls.....yes....you can finally Shoot through walls...and its fucking great....you would think it would be cheap....but its not because you are given a limited load out of ammunition to prevent people from wall spamming...and most levels have so many walls that you wouldnt know what or where to shoot unless you knew someone was standing there...


so far so good...call of duty 4 looks to be an AMAZING game just by the multiplayer beta

How did you get the beta?

I got a mail I thought was spam and it said something about the beta on a website, but when I checked nothing was there (this was 2 months back).

The videos look stupidly dope.

How many players are allowed online?

The dope (if not the only dope thing) about 3, was the fact you could have an all out war with shit loads of people.

so far the beta is only 12 per game....but the levels make it feel really chaotic...especially with all the air strikes and helicopters.....

i couldnt stand cod 3 multiplayer....felt very clunky imo control and physics wise.....this new cod 4 multiplayer feels a lot more polished....

and as far as getting the beta...you guys are late as hell....i signed up and have been playing since about 2 weeks ago...and the deadline was about 4-5 days ago.....

however ratiko they are doing the international drawing for tokens next week..... so check charlieoscardelta.com/beta.php for the info on it....just check it every day

trust me .. it owns all current FPS's ..

weapons upgrades are nice addition .. along with the perk system ..

controls are fluid and work perfectly .. graphics are nice and pretty ..

the beta only has 3 maps .. but so far so good .. each caters to different tastes .. personally my fav is Vacant .. but a lot of people find it the poorer of the 3 and usually get people asking for other to vote to skip the map .. whereas I'm not so keen on Overgrown which is more a kin to a COD3 map .. but seems to be popular amongst the gamers ..

oh .. and the kill cam is a brilliant addition too ..
