halo wars(real time stategy)

i havent played a real time strategy game. can any body tell me how its like? and what its really about? im anxious for halo wars.

guess I'm a part time nerd because I love blasting people with rockets and running people over with vehicles and shit

but rts is basically a bird's eye view of a war that you control one side of

you start with a few units to control, and those units gather resources or make buildings that gather resources or make units on your command. once resources are gathered armies are made which can kill units and buildings, killing resource gathering units will put you ahead of you enemy because you'll have more power to create units and kill. basically it's a waste of time but a lot of fun, can be very addictive and time consuming. good players usually have a constant flow of gathering units being made for the first 15 minutes or so of the game

everyone has roughly an equal chance to win in the beginning but someone always does better in the long run because they went a different route with their buildings or were quicker to train an army

thats too much for me...I'd rather control one person and kill every muthafucka movin..
