Man, I Have Nothing Against Nobody From Anywhere But All Ya'll Sound Like Some Bitches When A Bitch Can't Have Her Way With All Dat Bullshit Ya'll Talking!!! Sayin' That The South Is Not Hip Hop??? Why? Cuz It's Not What Ya'll Wanna Hear Or Cuz We On Top.....or Both??
Me, I Rap & Produce, And I'm Reppin' College Park, Ga All Day, And I ( As Well As Ayerbody Dat Hear My Music) Consider Myself A Lyricist. I Started Off Battle Rapping, Listening To Canibus, Eminem, Redman. And I Agree, Most Of The South Puts Out Music That I Can't Stand!!!! But You Have To Understand Something, We Party Hard Down Here....and That's What We Make Our Music For...........the Club! You Can't Bump Nas Or Papoose In The Club. Just Like You Can't Listen To That Snap Shit Or Club Music All The Time. There's A Time And Place For Ayerthang! It's People That Live Down South That Don't Like The Music, But Once You Start Dissin' Regionally, That's When Mufuckas Get Pissed. Up North And West Coast Has Had Their Time, It's Ours Now! I Guess That's Why You Got N.y. Niggas Rappin' And Makin' Beats Like The South....(50 Cent, Mims.....this Is Why I'm Hot............cuz He Sound Like The South!!!!!) Ludacris, T.i., Young Buck, Bun B, Andre 3000, Cee-lo, Lil Wayne Are Hot! Not Cuz They From The South......but Cuz They Got Skill! Luda, Wayne, Tip & 3000 Will Make Any Song Better Than What It Is Without Em. Bottom Line, You Ain't Gotta Like It, But Respect It!!! If You're Real! |

when ny was running shit back in the 90's, won't nobody complaining, when the west was running it, ny was complaining, i know down south we were jamming that west coast shit and SOME ny shit...i think cats up north need to let go some of that pride and try new shit....cuz the south ain't going nowhere...i will admit that i did enjoy southern music from the 90's more than the current stuff, it was more pure....because i know all my southern brothers will agree with me that since 8ball & mjg don' went to ny, they haven't been the same

all you wack southern fags shut your pie holes. NYC=the mecca and birthplace of hip hop, its location and music WILL ALWAYS BE RELEVENT AND CURRENT as far as the south goes, AS A WHOLE they create shitty music and are only good for producing songs to grind to in the clubs.

hip hop isnt dead.
all the people who say that need to shut up and stop whining. There are still many sick artists out from NY , NJ , Philly , Detroit , Chicago , Toronto , etc. Plus all the ill timeless classics from the 80s and 90s I agree the mainstream commercialized rap these days are not lyrical and are only there to make the artist money but dont pay attention to that bullshit then. Instead of complaining about it, which wont make it stop, just ignore it , dig in the crates , listen to the real , and keep it real. peace |

well yall gotta understand that each region lives differently east coast had you all thinking when hip hop started west coast had there turn and they gave us gangsta musik which demonstrated to us how they was living and the east coast ain't like that when it happened now the south got it and all they doing is telling us how they living and you know what they brought back to hip hop not the deep lyricism or the extra grimey gangbangin but they brought back the fun to hip hop which is why they're turn is so crazy right its fun sure the songs are bland lyrically (not everybody from the south is bland and yall know it) the hooks are repetitive but the beats are good and they make you do what they were designed to make you do . . .DANCE AND HAVE FUN!!!. . .
now mind you the only problem with their reign on top it's too much partying I feel that they need more depth but I won't say that southern artists don't have that don't forget the music business is still a business and the radio don't tell it all HIP-HOP is not dead due to one regions incessant partying and Bullshit who knows where the tide will turn next but no matter people will hate if hip-hop is dying its because we all don't support the music or the artist like probably should buy CD's people you know who it is that want to cop when they drop support and yall have to know by now that there are more rappers out here than there are fans think about that

see but thats life... I remember coming to this forum years ago.. I mean yearrrsss and its still the same stuff. People always need somebody to blame for something.. but the fact of the matter is anybody who has a couple years on him will tell you a time when these backpacking hip hop elitist clowns was complaining about the hip hop game before the South was even doing it like it is now. Like WTF.. the South wasn't complaining when the North was jacking all the South's Jazz/Funk/Soul music to lay the backbone for hip hop. HA!!!

The South is cool & has made some dope stuff but it's culture it's never gonna be like the city of NY. In fact if your anything like me most of the hip-hop you will like is from NYC. New Yorkers are not a good example of a typical American & it's been said by many ppl that they closer to Europeans than americans.?
