You gotta get the feel for it.

I learned it from the get go....never drove an automatic.

You'll hear the tires squeal the first few times...:-)

1. Find you a slight hill where you can hit NOTHING!.
2. Park on that hill. Without putting the car in gear, FOCUS ON BALANCE.
3. Put the car in first gear (Keep your right foot on the brake, left on the clutch).
4. Practice easing off of the clutch (slowly). You goal is to learn how to use the clutch.
5. Ease off of the clutch until the car is in mid-point (meaning, it won't roll back or cut off)
6. Once you can control the clutch without cutting off or rolling more than a inch or two backwards, you are ready to add gas.
7. Only start this next step after you have a good feel of the clutch (see above steps).
8. If you have control of the clutch, slowly press the gas pedal until you begin to move.
9. As you start to move, Eaassseeee of the clutch slowly.
10. Keep practicing on a hill or a speed bump, OUT OF TRAFFIC. More like a parking lot or cul-de-sac.

when i started out i always reved the engine to 3,000 rpm and then shifted to first and slowly let off... of course i burned out all the time but it was ok for starting off. now ima pro

3000 RPM isnt the best place to rev to on every car though. After driving manuals for almost 10 years now its hard to tell someone how to do it without showing them. I learned on a 61 Chevy 4x4 truck. Pushing in the clutch was like lifting weights.

I cant realy Drive a STICK...

But i can RACE my Suzuki bike on the race like a fucking CHAMP....
but riding a bike is alot easier with the gears then a car...

yeah i feel that...if you knew about the traffic here though...it can take you over an hour to make it 15 miles....on the interstate....on some days...that's right....65 mph speed limit and cars at a standstill...no excuse for that shit....

but it stopped bothering me after a bit

iight...........

1.push clutch put it in gear and....start to press gas while clutch is in.....let the clutch out slowly.....if you let it out too fast the car will stall.......and or peel out........and make sure to give it enough gas to take off.....cause too little gas will make it stall..........

2.while driving.....when you shift.......shift around.......hmmmmmmm.....just listen to the engine.....when you hear the RPM's heatin up...........shift...........then do the same next time........once in about 4th or 5th gear you will not have to shift just give it lots of gas or it wont run good...............ok...........

Man i aint even old enough to drive lol.......im 14.........WuN
