Why is the guy an idiot for not knowing how to drive a stick?

Plenty of people have never had to drive or havent wanted to drive a stick until they awkwardly find themselves in a car with it.




My fam never owned a stick. Never saw a reason for it. I learned on all my friends' little shitty beaters that have sticks. Cheap cars. But I wouldn't drive a stick daily. Fuck that.

Push clutch in when starting, slowly let off pressure while at the same time hitting the gas. Once it revs up to about 3k rpm you push clutch in and move shifter from one gear to the next. Making note not to be hitting the gas while the clutch is in. And thats basically it.

I like driving manual a bit more, gives me the feeling im actually driving. Whenever im in an automatic i feel i might as well be a passenger.

Unless you've got a car with balls, I don't know why anyone would really want a stick. I do too much multitasking in the car to bother with it.

cant really teach this shit over an internet message board bro

you'll really need someone experienced teaching you step by step inside the car with you even then you wont fully learn how to drive stick, after that you'll have to go out on your own to fully learn how to drive a manual transmission car
