Got my new products yesterday.

I like it, I mean...ignoring that it's a GM. Lots of people think they're ugly. They're dated, like the style will be out soon, but I like the curves. The color is nice too.

I'd take one. Unfortunately the one I was going to get for cheapo is in a carport collecting dust....has been for 2 yrs.

You need a ram-air hood though. That front end looks like a monster with it.

I had this... for a couple weeks. Better than what I've got now... (not the exact, but exact same package/color)

WS6 = hood/high polish wheels. I've honestly never felt my paint so glass smooth and deep color.

EXACT process used for detail:

wash with dawn
Meguires clay with quick detailer
wash with dawn
Meguires NXT GEN paste wax
Turtle Wax ICE Synthetic polish

used Meguires leather cleaner/conditioner on the seats (you cant see much), black magik on tires, and armor all clean wiped interior..

but... all in all.. Meguires makes a great product.

We know my feelings on american rides but atleast the car is nicely detailed. Do Trans-AM's have that much tire gap? Jesus I could stick a baby in that wheel well :D

Why did you dawn the car twice. Only needed it for the first job, what was the point to dawn it again after the clay.

I would of just dawn.... which I only do 3 times a year.
So normally:
Wash
Clay
Wash
If swirl marks.. which might be minimal.. SSR1
Red Maching Glaze
PS21
and call it a day.. this should last atleast 3 months

Othwise just the regular wash process, unless I happened to be using Klasse.. then there is a completely different approach.

tread wear is one thing. i'm just using the old rears first.. just put new on the front and much more tread than back.

right now I run a 245/50/16 on the stock light 16x8 rims (which yeah they suck). ws6's stock run 275/40/17 on 17x9.5's all around. otherwise the suspension is the same. ideally I want to do is run 17x11 (315/35/17) out back and 17x9.5 (275/40/17) in front, and that will change a bit of the gap.

then obviously springs/shocks would have a big effect. but i'm stock height right now.

but anyways,

instead of using light soapy warm water for the clay, i used the quick detailer spray and by the time I finished with that the car was real wet (but smooth). so i washed again (as advised) before I applied the paste wax. i use a plush wash mitt (real happy with that purchase) and i have real chamois for drying. I dont have visible swirls unless under INTENSE light (like parking lot lights on angles) and they are so minimal. that wax virtually eliminated them (if any). and i use all microfiber towels for the buff after wax/polish.

previously i used Mothers products and wanted to try either the Pinnacle line or Meguires. i wash weekly almost and wax every couple months. polish almost every wash. and then interior always, leather once every other full detail. i think ill only do a clay a 2-3 times this year.

if your serious about detailing and I mean serious, as in have 6-8 hrs to waste, this is the order of detailing you should follow,

Wash & Dry -> Clay Bar -> Cutting Polish -> Finishing Polish -> Glaze -> Sealant -> Wax.

this is the difference to most peoples details, compared to a serious detail.

regular detail (1-2 hrs spent) using bare minimum products, ie. wash/wax.

notice the house in the reflection

now here's with an 8 hr detail with, Wash & Dry -> Clay Bar -> Cutting Polish -> Finishing Polish -> Glaze -> Sealant -> Wax.

now notice the house reflection.

thats the real difference.

start to finish not counting the interior toasted 3pm-7:45pm

and then I spent another hour the next day doing the interior and leather.

5-6 hours is already too much i think.
