DETROIT (WJBK) - An online video that went viral over the summer has landed a Detroit rapper in big trouble.
Toranio Hightower, also known as Young Calicoe, is expected to face felony charges of conspiracy to gamble, animal fighting and conspiracy to commit animal fighting. Two others, Savay Chokbengboun and Cassandra Worthington, are expected to face the same charges, according to Wayne County prosecutors.
If convicted, the 22-year-old rapper and his accomplices face up to 13 years behind bars.
The three were expected to face a judge Thursday afternoon, but FOX 2's Amy Lange reports the hearing was adjourned.
It was back in July when the Michigan Humane Society conducted a raid where dogs and other animals were removed from a home on W. Outer Drive.
We'll have much more on this story tonight during FOX 2 News beginning at 5 p.m.
