Yea good point. You got me there a bit. However, while I agree that there isn't a "best" in rap, there certainly is at least somewhat an idea of who the "best" (for the most part) is in battling.

And I still say if this actually went down and Dumb were to battle, his could possibly be the most decisive victory out of anyone from either side, for the reasons I mentioned earlier.

yeah u can never count that guy out. and i agree with the idea of the best thing. some shit just doesnt fly in some audiences though.

when i made my list i took into account that it'd be tension and bias from/towards some people. my list is people that are either universal, enough like the competition, or so blatantly different that whatever bias should be eliminated

Honestly I would love to see Dumb verse either of them, as I think matches of opposite styles can make for just an interesting a matchup as a battle where two guys match well stylistically. However I do think Lux would beat him (for the record I think there are only about 2-3 guys in all of GT who could fuck with Lux), but I do think he could beat Mook.

However I was speaking more to the realistic matchups: goodz, charlie clips, head ice, t-rex, rich dollarz...IMO Dumb would fuck all these dudes up.

i think alot of GT cats would fare well in that enviroment they'd just have to adapt & drop the random multi string babble cause that wouldn't go over well & stick to writing punchlines, hard hitting or funny wouldn't matter really iron got some of his best reactions with funny lines in those enviroments, the only ones that really wouldn't go over well would be the ones who don't really rap & have weak deliverys/presence my list would be

Yea and I definitely see where you were coming from with a lot of you're picks, and I actually thought they were pretty solid. Its just that going through this thread looking at some people's lists I was reminded of the days when the likes of Luke Ridnour, Shane Battier, and Kirk Hinrich were being entertained as possible Olympic team candidates. (I wanted to personally break both of Jerry Colangelo's kneecaps)

And yea, I agree its definitely not the same as basketball, i just felt some people were trying to do that "ooh this guy will be kind of different, lets see what people think of me when I say him." When, in my opinion, you want a gold medal? You let Kobe and Lebron run shit. You want GT to win over SMACK? You let Okwerdz and Dizaster fuck people up. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Also, I know we're probably just talking GT, but if KOTD were included I think Pat Stay would do fantasic in this.

5. ness - originality and pk-fire, also ability to use the pk shield and absorb projectiles
