im trying to play oblivion, and it keeps saying, after i install and press play it says, oblivion has stopped working and windows is looking for the solution. this may take several minutes.

then it says a problem caused oblivion to stop working correctly, windows will close the program and notify you if any solutions are available.


when it was loading i seen the graphics and shit, and the computer seems new enough and it can handle it, so i dont understand the problem


i just called geek squad, they dont know shit, and i asked if i can bring it in, but they said they charged 69.99 just to look at it

just make sure you meet the minimum requirements, which im sure you do

i would recommend a fresh install of windows if you want it to run good tho....since you are already having problems.

download a windows 7 .iso (torrents)
download "magicdisc" or "daemon tools"
mount the .iso
install windows 7

just make sure you have some hard drive space...you can dual boot if you dont want erase all your shit

You shouldn't need to reinstall all of windows to play that.

Basically check the box and make sure your computer specs are at least the minimum, if you can once oblivion starts up, turn down the graphics to the minimum so they run faster and smoother if you have a slower computer. Oblivion is a big game but should be able to run on most modern pc's without too much of an issue, I can't find my box around the house but I'm sure you can google the specs.
