When the producers of the movie Righteous Kill, which stars Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino and 50 Cent, were trying to sell the film to major studios, they relied heavily on 50 Cent’s urban appeal to make the film more attractive to buyers. This included initial movie posters that featured DeNiro, Pacino and 50 Cent together, press leaks that portrayed 50 Cent as “one of the guys” with DeNiro and Pacino and a sales reel that showed 50 Cent as a club owner who assists in solving the murder case (which was quickly erased from the internet). This was an attempt by the producers to use 50 Cent to “young-up” the potential audience and reach the much coveted “urban” demographic.

me and my brother couldn't stop laughing when the trailer was released in the movie theatre. Just every bad crime movie cliche was shown in the trailer. As the trailer got progressively worse, we nearly died when it was revealed 50 cent was in the film. Like just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, it did.

Wow at people thinking they edited him out of the movie.

I'm not sure why everyone is so riled up on so many message boards about 50 being in the movie saying he doesn't belong on screen with these two mega stars.

he is basically playing himself and his role will not require him to have tremendous acting skills whatsoever -- he'll be fine. He will not make the movie any worse

Y'all some dumbasses they take him out of the promo material because they want to appeal to the non hip hop generation target market because lets face it, with or without 50 cent de niro and pacino are going to attract our generation regardless

and yes, the man who topped this year as hip hops top earner and will be without a doubt next years top 3 is on a sharp decline

he was hiphop's top earner cuz of the vitamin water deal.. they only counted that for this year.

first the loss against kanye for top earner for the same debut week

gunit's TOS getting LESS than a 100K of sales for their first week..

although i do have to ask how credible the source for the article posted... cuz like... i have to agree with drenVA.. i dun think they would edit him out of the movie like that.. i thought his part in the movie was at least a little significant
