Here's what I'd do....

Fuck the mixtapes and shit...I'd take the deal, and let the dude write all of the stuff...and then spit some crazy shit on televised interviews and generate interest on personality alone and comments on topics going on in the world, so that the music would be secondary to what you're famous for.

Then I would go to companies for things like videogames, clothes, and shoes for endorsement deals and stock up the profits into a newer company and sign artists to it. Then make some shit like cologne/perfume and link up with a bigger company like Disney or Sony, until it all becomes its own conglomerate and me and the artists would make crazy money from either music, endorsements, or both.

Who's to say that this album that you got paid a million bucks to do would even sell?
