a lot is being made of da new team USA and how da players should be picked. so, my question is who would u pick. you could only have 12 players(cant use guys dat have declined invitations....duncan, shaq, mcgrady, garnett, j oneal. vc, jkidd, ray allen). here's my list:

Guards: Lebron James, Michael Redd, Chauncy Billups, Dwane Wade, Kobe Bryant

Fowards: Bosh, Shawn Marion, Bruce Bowen, Carmelo Anthony

Centers: Amare Stoudamire, Dwight Howard, Brad Miller

I'd send the reigning NBA champions along as it doesnt have key international players that wouldnt disrupt the chemistry much.

but what happens if da spurs(parker, ginobili) or mavericks(Nowitzki) win da championship? those players will play for their repective countries. or even da case or like a Tim Duncan. he already said dat he didnt want to play. what would you do then?

i dont care about declined invitations...thats who id take...to gaurantee victory...

ok, so lets get da rules straight....u have to use players of today, from da nba and dat haven't declined invitations. wow, at someone sayin steve nash.....he's canadian. da college players idea wouldnt work becuz da teams from around da world are using their pros and would kill da ncaa players like they did for many years. da challengin part is dat u have to find da right combination of size, shooting and passing because otha teams play a lot of zone defense. it may sound easy but das how Team USA was beaten in da past olympics. we had Richard Jefferson and Shawn Marion shooting way too many outside shots and missing badly. Even Dwayne Wade and Lebron looked like average players against those other teams and their defenses. da best players in da last olympics were AI, Duncan and Lamar Odom(odd right??). Even Amare looked clueless out there. He couldnt even get a decent look. so, show your knowledge.....explain y u r pickin certain people.

note: now dat michael redd has officially declined to play, i will include J.J. Redick
