Trigger Finger/Reason Help

aiight i just got reason...n my keyboard works perfect for the melodies...but does anyone know what i can do to get my trigger finger to play w/ the redrum? the help is appreciated...

^^^ by default you just use the very first octave of your midi controller to trigger your drum samples

go down couple octaves.. n use C1..

or if u wanna.. use the nnxt for your drums...

Just make sure you havent got an octave knob or something of the like on your controller, an it isnt octave -1 because then the drum controllers octave will be off the keyboards range.. if you get me?

I USE the trigger finger WITH reason redrum.. this is what you do homie

you open the trigger finger manual. cuz it would take to long to explain how to do this. but what you have to do is set EACH pad to EACH note in C1. so each pad should look like
C 1
C. 1 the dots are sharps. its a lil complicated on how to set each pad. you HAVE to read the help guide on the comp. then you save ti so its like that everytime you boot it up. so you dont have to keep setting it.

i know how to set each pad, ive done it for the fpc in fruity loops...do i do the same thing?

u could be sayin 2 things here i dont get it...set EVERYTHING to c1 and save it on each pad bank? or just set every pad to c1 n save it to one pad?

^you are confused and it may be because of the way i worded it.

C1 is the octave you start at. so the pads are for each note. it should look something like this

Pad 1 = C1
Pad 2 = C. 1
pad 3 = D
Pad 4 = D. 1

like that. if you know hwo to program them then you got the hard part down. just program them like that and you should be fine.

OHHHHHHHHH OK i got u now...yea cuz some ³³³³³s was tellin me all this shit bout saving it on pad 15 n so on n so on...yea i kno how to do that tho...do i do that in reason or can i do it before openin up reason? thanks for the help...

also, im using a midi keyboard, n i see the midi shit at the top of the mixer where it says a, b, c ,d n bus one and bus two n all that...do i concern myself w/ that or just leave it alone?

with the pads it doesnt matter when you program them. you can do it while reason is open. i suggest doing it while your redrum and reason is open so you can test the pad and see if its hitting where you want.

you can leave all that other stuff alone.
