listen.. i have been getting disc read error and last time this happened i took it apart and clean the lense and it worked great.. then it happened again.. took it back to sony got it back in like a month... i dont wanna do that again.. do u guys know any other way of doing it? LET ME KNOW PLEASE!.. i love me some socom 2.. and yeah x; haha

After taking it apart, and cleaning the lens, and blowing all the dirt and dust off (ps2's can get nasty inside) there should be a little white circular gear with pointy edges near the lens.

Take your finger nail and spin the little white gear 2 clicks to the left or right. Its fragile, so dont move it hard, just move it gently 2 clicks, you will hear it click twice.

This moves your lens a little bit closer to the disc, so it reads it better. I used to have a shitload of errors until I adjusted my white gear.

okay listen since i sent the ps2 back to the company i dont know what they did but theres no circle there no more.. ? so i guess im screwed then right.

should have just popped it open and cleaned it again instead of going back to sony

There might some type of plate covering it, after you take off the top of your ps2, there might be a square part covering it with a few little screws holding it on... get a tiny screwdriver and remove that
