i havent seen that many, like 5 or so, but theres a long list of ones that i want to see. Which ones are recommendable? My favorites are:

my favorite foreign film is definitely tokyo story [japanese]

others i recommend are:
scenes from a marriage [swedish]
solaris [russian]
seven samurai [japanese]
rififi [french, i think maybe italian, it's been a little while]
run lola run [german]

almost forgot about kieslowski's "the decalogue", it's a set of 10 1-hour films each about a set of moral dilemmas and consequences, set in modern poland [well modern as of the late 80's]
