Help, I Can't Get Over My Ex

Me and my girl broke up a couple of months ago, on good terms, b'cuz I got a new job in DC and she attends Hampton University(banging school). It hurted her like hell, but I wasn't living well down there. She was holding me down, but we both agreed to breakup, but I still wanted us to be real cool when I visited hampton and we were, until one time she came to DC and didn't come see me. I ended up saying some foul things to her and telling her not to call me. I'm a loner, Im so quick to tell a friend or anyone f*ck you forever when I'm mad. Everything changed after that. Let me tell you about my ex, she's a very classy type girl, very dependable and very loving, but she has a lot of pride like me. That leds to both us not really expressing our feelings to each other. I've always known I loved her, but I did take her for granted when we were together. Now that I'm in DC with no family in a few friends. I realize how special she was to me. She emailed me some religous message the other day. Other than that we haven't spoken in weeks. She visited last month everything was cool, but I could tell she was most likely seeing someone, so she would not let me get too close to her. She's not the type to cheat. Two weeks ago she email me, to she how I was doing and to tell me she "officially had a new boyfriend." It hurts to know someone else is kissing and loving her. I'm also mad that she has moved on and I haven't. I've been out with quite a few girls since we've broken up, but none of them compare to her. My pride want let me call her. I don't know what it is that I want from her. I just know that I haven't been right since we broke up. She was my 1st love. Here is a email I got from her:

When WE FIRST BROKE UP

"I know we are not a couple but it feels like we are. I still call you all the time. I still get upset when I think your with another girl I know you get upset if you think I m with another guy. the thing is im in denver, and shes goin to harvard in seotember...so thast alos why i didnt wanna get to close, but everyday im not with her, i miss her more, and i think im doin fine til i see her at work that one day a week, and then i just start tripping all over aain....ive been trying to have a relationship without labeling it...but shit is real hard....

i understand,d u may feel like u cant replace her, but just as time passes and u arent within reach of her it gets easier. the fact yall still communicate makes it worse too. ur still harboring feelings and thta kinda leads on somehting can happen, but if it doesnt, i dunno, i think ur more sensative to getting hurt.

i too took her for granted, and ive never been in love before, now i dont think we can say we're in love, cause then its you against the world, but i love her, the way i popped off crossed a line, so our relationship will never be the same.

i noticed alot of similarites between us, and thtas why i responded, i wish i could tell u how to get over her, but i cant.

my best advice is just be strong, and look for someone else. i dont think u should try and compare new girls to her, jus go look for something different, because i garuntee when u met her u probally wasnt settin out lookin for someone like her, so just kinda chill out and take life day by day....and just be open minded.

anyway... I didnt read the post... but i can give my advice because its been 6 months since i broke up with a girl i dated for 3 years...

dont rush anything.... take ya time, heal, spend ya time doing what u like and dont worry about no girls... after a while... you'll feel better and you'll look better and then out of no where.... the bitches will come. (probably cause you dont look like a depressed mess)
