Nas is fucking amazing. There are a few tracks where he obviously doesn't rip 100%, but during his career he has remained mostly consistent bring straight fucking heat and brilliance. Anything he writes shines with brilliance.

Listen to any verse he ever written and you'll see why people call him the GOAT...he is able to link any subjects, can drift between political shit, street shit, to philosphical shit in the space of a second..his rhyme schemes are fucking amazing, his flow is solid and even when his flow is kinda lax it still is brilliant.

even though Nastradamus wasn't Nas's greatest effort, download 'come get me'...sick beat by primo and Nas kills it

'i'm like Luca brazi, vitos top hitman'..if u watched Godfather you'll like that line, Nas is sickkk

from illmatic till today, he has been ripping it

I agree.. he is the greatest story teller.. and has a natural gift for writing more so than just spitting. He is greatness... but so are a lot of other ppl.. and all for different reasons... He's top 3 or 4..

In the case of Nas and Jay-z.. it's hard to say because saying Jay-z is better than nas is disrespecting Nas' talent & his gift.. but saying Nas is better than Jay-z is doing the same thing..So it's better not to even choose, and just enjoy their music.
