where is uk rap headed?

Will we become more and more americanised and take more and more on board from their culture?. Will we get into turf wars, but instead of east west, maybe North, south. Will other countries ever take us as serious?

idk I'm from the US and i haven't heard a single UK voice in hip-hop besides that girl in Eminem's "Stan". I think a UK emcee's best bet is to move to the US and lose the accent, its just disturbing. and as for turf wars over there... i don't think it'll happen, yall just aint hostile people like us.

Nah, I cant see the UK scene becoming americanized somehow.. If anything we'll probably see the opposite happenin... with MCs tryin yo sound more british than british.. But i think the scene on a whole at the minute is lookin pretty good.. Theres bin a lot of quality releases droppin over the past few months and from the sounds of things it looks like theres gonna be a lot more to come.. (Still waitin on that bludy Scorz EP!!) ...I cant see things changing too soon...

im glad we have people like big bro n shit because at the moment people... general music fans.. (not deep hip hop fans) HATE the english accent rapping ..thats the truth, admit it ...i bet you know someone you says that.

So with people like big bro at least people are gonna get used to the accent rhyming... i see it as a good thing even if the music isn't to your liking.

it will go where YOU take it...

with all accents some people sound good with it and others don't... ie that x factor that makes a persons voice more appealing than others...

^exactly.

ive heard emcees spit in an accent that made me cringe but i heard a real heavy emcee spitin the same accent and i loved it.

its how you use it.

same with american emcees. one emcee is wack and the other is dope, both have the same accent but the dope one knows how to spit and the accent either becomes irrelevant or it sounds dope.

personally i think the UK accent is SICK and sounds raw and has alot to offer.

usually the people who say otherwise are the narrow minded people who arent proper fans of music and who cant appreciate it.
