A lot of questions on writing.....
hmm, I have a lot of things that I need to ask. I know there are a lot of things out there that I don't know that I really need to know to move any further, If any one could answer these and then add some common knowledge that I may not already know I would be grateful.....
1) Tony Rome said when you spit to a beat, it's to the drums. What if the drums in a beat is like just bass that goes every 5 seconds or so? do you try and fit a bar in between each beat of the bass???
2) can a bar be too short or too long?? I don't mean syllable wise but in actual text. Maybe some one could show me a example of were a good length is....
3)Over to syllables were is a good range of beats?? I know your going to say it's up to my style or flow, but there must be some kind of guide line isn't there..like 20 is too many and 5 isn't enough......
4) is there a certain number of bars that make a verse?? I don't think there are it would be up to how fast the person speaks and how long the measurers are in the beat wouldn't it??
5) Another thing is makeing a rythem with your words that you write, I don't know how to do this. The only way for me to do okay is to write while I'm listening to a beat. Is there any tips to write your lyrics with rythem??
6) Some thing else was rhymescheme, Ive been wanting to ask about that. I know what it is and how to form in but I never see people fallowing a steady rhyme scheme. Woldn't you run out of words to rhyme with???
like this...
a....c..b
a....d..b
a....e..b
Wouldn't you run out of rhymes tht represented each letter..
7) I guess this runs into structure, can some one explane that for me???
6)I know there are many more things that I need to know but I can't think of them right now. Is there any extra stuff you can just throw in?
--peace.
