aight so i'm wondering..i dont know anything about car audio. what is like, a cheap setup that wont sound crappy? like how little can you put out for something decent, i dont want to break no windows but i'd like to be able to get some good volume without no distortion or nothin

can people drop some recomendations and prices please?

get 2 MTX 12s and push it with a rockford amp..

or just get some kicker comps and push it wit like a JBL amp.

shuldnt be more then like 300

you could get an elemental designs e12k.44 for 140 and then a jbl 300.1 for like 150 and that would be pretty good for right around 300 (im not a fan of jbl amps but its cheap power)

or you could get an elemental designs e12k.14 with an avionixx 400.2 for 351. imo this would be the way to go over the jbl

it kills me when people wanna go cheap with car audio...and a few month down the road your spending more money on new speakers cause the cheap road you went on(speakers)blew...then your spending money on new speakers..but anyways...

You want good sound and bass....at a cheap price...

Upgrade your highs...with Wal-mart Speakers..Xplode(yes i said wal-mart explode) its the same that you would get at a Stereo shop but cheaper...spend lets say 100bucks oh highs...some mids and 6x9's...

next run a Amp with a built in X-over...kicker has a lot of them...
a kicker KX120.2 runs for $125..run all your highs with this amp on HI-PASS...

then you needs Subs...get a sub with a good warranty...ORION SUBS has a lifetime warranty but they will cost you...
since your cheap..hehehe get some Kicker vrComps..they are bang for your bucks......
as for a amp to power your subs...say your running kicker 12inch subs...get a kicker KX400.2 these amps cost about $260 and run about 400 watts x 1 in bridged mode which is more then enuff bang for those subs...

so your total comes to
$485 without subs..depending on what you want....
