righte now I'm a jvc head unit with a punch series amp putting out about 120-150 watts (rms-max) and I got it pushing 1 12" fosgate punch series sub in a ported box

iits alot louder than anyone would exept but .....every one is out doing me.......my last straw was today when I stoped by my cousines and he was installin 2 15" JL audio sub and a Legacy 2000 watt amp in the trunck of his caprice

I wanna stick with a single sub for the trunk space.......and I'm on my grinde fa cash so I aint tryna spend a fortune righte now...

I was thinking.

18" 2x voice coil sub

whatever amp I need to push it

and a equilizer with built in interior amp and sub db boost

I think that would blow away most systems in my town cause
most people are using either 2 10"s or 2"s with 400-800 watt amps

how much are you planning to spend?

for $351 you can get an elemental e12k.14 and avionixx 400.2 in a package deal at www.edesignaudio.com

those subs are geared more towards sq but im pretty confident they could get loud enough with the right install

but if you have the money then i would definately suggest the e15a and avionixx 800.2 for $580

im not real sure about equalizers but im sure someone on here can help you

good luck with whatever you decide to buy
