why is my bass not super loud

most likely..lol..sony is shit in car products.

your speakers should be knockin. i mean my boy has 2 MTX and runs a fosgate amp to em, and they knock. so i would imagine the type Rs to hit better

check the sub settings, i forget what they are called, maybe ohms, i helped instal my moms sub in her rsx and the bass wasnt hitting till i realized the setting was at 0

sounds like install to me.......could be your box, your wiring, your gains, or many other things........i would replace the cd player as soon as i could but you should get some decent bass with a proper install

now i got 2x the bass. but i'm still lokin into a deck with a subwoofer control.

I suggest an Eclipse 8443

I'm pretty sure that has a subwoofer control but I'm not positive.

i got the Alpine CDA-7894

its pretty good. 60x4, subwoofer control and all

all u gotta do is press the volume nob and it brings up the sub control. u can cut them off, raise/lower, etc

make sure your gain on your amp is up... just use a screwdriver, and screw it so its like in the middle... or till what u think is good

Check your ohm settings...and your wiring to the subs..make sure there not hitting againts each other...i cant remember if type-r have duel voice coils..that might be a factor...run your subs paralle and bridge the amp.....turn gain up...heheehe dont blow your subs now...

you need kicker Solo...L7 subs...
