Tryna get my laptop connected to the internet in my home..help!

the fam decided to go with cheaper internet than the charter cable that we already had...we got the at&t yahoo DSL jump off now and set it up..its runnin nice

but now comes the dilemma of gettin my laptop to get some of that connection...mind you when i got the laptop i aint the one that set up the internet and router...

the modem is on, the router is on...what do i do to get my laptop connected...it's wi/fi capable

if it's wi/fi capable, turn on ur wireless card first (there's normally a hardware
switch on ur laptop), then open up wireless connections and pick up someone's
router if u can.



for the dsl, ur going to have to plug into it via ethernet or usb AND i'm
almost positive that u can't share connections. so basically, ur either
using the internet on the laptop or on the desktop.
