Easy way to find music on Google (for Firefox users)

1. Click to create a new bookmark.

2. Name the bookmark whatever you want - something you'll remember.

Now for the important parts...

3. For the location, copy and paste the following url:

http://www.google.com/search?q=intitle%3Aindex.of+%s+mp3+-html+-htm+-asp+-php+-jsp&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

That address has parameters that that get out most of the bullshit search results you'd usually get when trying to search for music with Google.

4. Type in a keyword. You have to remember this keyword. It's probably preferable that you use a short keyword. I actually just use the letter "m" as a shortform for "music."

Once you click OK you're basically set.

I'll give you an example search term to use. (Type it into the address bar)

m in my dreams

Click enter. You'll be taken to a Google results page that will bring up indexes that have mp3s with the words in, my, and dreams in them.

To refine your search so that it only brings up links to pages with mp3s that explicity say "in my dreams" in one string, use periods instead of spaces.

m in.my.dreams

when ever you search you have to use your keyword and then space and then type your search.

so

m kanye.west

m billy.talent fallen.leaves

m mystikal

every one of those search terms should work. Just make sure they're in your address bar, and not in your Google search bar.

sometimes you might get a slow site that lags or whatever, but a lot of the time you'll get fast ones, and it's a lot quicker to download via the web than it is to download from p2p programs (i don't p2p at all...)

Google won't pick up every song you want like you're hoping, but I think it's a good first check especially if it's a popular song, you won't necessarily have to open up your other means of searching.
