meh, civil war in this day and age would just lead to us being picked apart by other countries and whatnot.

what we need is a modern day Hannibal. some pissed off mexican still upset over texas that gathers a bunch of mercenaries from various south american countries and lures the United States into ambushes. could start with hotheaded border patrol, maybe catapult ted nugents head across the border to show he means business. eventually people from inside the united states would get into it and various terrorists would join pyro's* campaign.

People can puff out their chest and talk all the bullshit they want. They're not really willing to see their families imprisoned, living under martial law, or being killed though.
