not really a novel, only about 300 pages, but "Cell" by stephen king would make a great movie, especially with all the zombie apocolypse popularity going on right now.

You could always make a comic strip into a movie. Since you probably don't have the budget (or the rights), you should stay way from the DC/Marvel comic book universes.

But Charlie Brown is probably available. That loveable loser. You could seamlessly both star and direct, NuMaan.
