Someone tell me why is it that all exquitness
has been sucked from the rhyme like a vampire'd bitten it
we all witnessed it now it needs fast improvement
it went from poets and skillz to bling bling and dance music
its one thing if you live in hard places drownin in cold rain
but its sickening to false impressionists sportin these gold chains
dont get me wrong its good to have sh*t to groove to
but Id rather listen to J'5 and the type of music that will lose you
in the classical beats that sell only because they choose to
where the F*ck is the art form, what happened to creativity
besides the underground theres very few left in the industry
Id rather pay to see an unsigned artist rock the mic inently
than watch girls from the block bite,then see them dance for free,
it used to be a demonstration of writing and performing ability
now hooks are 5 minutes long, I cant take this infedelity
how many platinum stars will put on a show for free? exactly
so many are paid by corporations to demonstrate for charity
keep it clear though im not saying this about every MC
I just wish turntablism was promoted as much as thug G'z
the appreciations gone and if not brought back were stuck
and strugglin even more damn, what the f*ck...
