i think any other season this trade might not be under such a huge microscope. the disparity between teams is no longer great and as mentioned before, you lose a couple games here and there, and you could miss the playoffs. last year, the suns make this trade, and they're in the thick of things.

i'm still not sure what to think of the trade, mainly because of how the other acquisitions have worked out - LAKERS had a seamless transition, Dallas has gotten better but has yet to reap in the benefits, and Lebron will always be Lebron, regardless of who you surround him with. i am glad that it's phoenix's turn to see how hard other teams have had to work, when for the past couple of seasons they were almost the perfect team - boasting the mvp no less.

tonight's game tho... not a great barometer. suns had a game last night, nuggs didn't. nuggs used to the high altitude, everyone else struggles. nuggs have a team more suitable for up and down play than the suns all of a sudden.

i give it another 2 weeks before i see how much of an effect it really has on their season.
