You get to work on power as well as improving contraction strength, intensity and definition. It's also a welcome break from that intense soreness.

I don't know because I've been actually doing less leg work the past couple months, so it's not making sense. I was going to start incooperating 100 squats and 100 pushups using bodyweight on my off days anyway though so maybe it will help.
