instead of running in place, run with resistance, whether you wear a belt with a resistance cable/ rope and your friend is holding you back while you sprint, or your dragging a tire, i would do that instead of rip
i wont say DONT run in place, its just that i havent heard of people doing that and it sounds a little strange to me.
running sprints with resistance would be the way to go to me, thats what i do and it works pretty well for improving speed
