nah, no cottage cheese. heres the recipe if you're interested.
Season minced beef1 and 1/2 ibs serves 4) with salt and pepper and brown it in a fairly deep and wide pan. Once browned remove it from the pan. Put in some crushed garlic ( 2 cloves, onions (1 to 2 finely chopped and thyme until the onions go sweet and translucent. Add the mince back to the pan along with 2 tablespoons of tomato puree and a handfull of flour. Stir it around till the flour is cooked for a few mins. Now you need to add 200 ml of red wine and 70mls of worcester sauce. Stir it around and simmer( turn the heat right down). Once the liquid has reduced by half add around a pint of chicken stock bring to the boil and then simmer for around 25-30 mins. you want the beef and sauce to reduce down and get real thick and glossy and it should do in that time. Meanwhile, add some potatoes to a pan of salted boiling water and cook for 15 minutes. Mash the potatoes with a little butter, milk, salt and pepper and a handfull of cheese if ya feeling in the mood. Add your mixture which has been simmering to a big dish and pile the mashed potatoes onto the top speading it evenly over then add to the oven and cook for 25-30 mins until bubbling and golden brown.
